Role Overview

As an Account Manager, you will have full commercial responsibility for a portfolio of clients using a range of CARMA’s monitoring and analysis services. You will be expected to retain and grow this group of clients, increasing revenues and profitability while establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring CARMA optimises the value and impact of its monitoring and insights services. You will also play a key role in supporting new business initiatives within the sector.

You will be responsible for overseeing ongoing client reporting to a client-ready standard. This includes coordinating the operational teams involved in report production and ensuring quality control, timeliness, and the efficient running of account processes. You will assist in producing CARMA’s most strategic and high‑value reports, finding the most effective ways to represent data and insight to support robust client decision‑making

A successful Account Manager will challenge themselves, and their clients - driving our offer forward through service design, innovation, high-quality reporting, consultancy, and training.  You will be responsible for producing the pinnacle of CARMA’s strategic reports for clients, finding the best ways to represent data to help your clients make good business decisions.

  • Taking commercial responsibility for Beauty, Fashion, and Luxury clients while actively promoting client retention and business growth
  • Ensuring that clients maintain optimal profitability levels by identifying and resolving low-profitability issues, and creating strategies to enhance profitability
  • Working closely with the Insights team to provide consultancy services to clients, focusing on service optimisation from the initial scope and design stage to prioritising insights and recommendations
  • Managing projects across the full spectrum of services for each client, ensuring professional and high-quality delivery through prompt responses, effective communication, and strong stakeholder relationships
  • Making sure all client contracts, purchase orders, briefs, coding manuals, and other pertinent documents are signed, up-to-date, and properly organized
  • Leading innovation in CARMA’s Insights services, including enhancing commentary quality, data integration, data visualisation, and reporting formats
  • Actively identifying and escalating roadblocks with proposed solutions to external PR agencies in a timely manner
  • Conducting data verifications and statistical analyses to provide accurate reporting and insights for clients
  • Coordinating with global operations teams to set deadlines and improve efficiency, ensuring deliveries are accurate and timely
  • Monitoring analyst efficiency metrics, pinpointing areas for improvement, and ensuring that necessary actions are taken

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in media analysis and related disciplines, with a strong track record in client relationship building, retention, and upselling.
  • Deep knowledge of communications evaluation best practice and current industry trends, coupled with an analytical, strategic, and process‑oriented mindset.
  • Confident, assertive communicator, able to engage credibly with stakeholders from junior executives to board level and quickly identify, prioritise, and articulate what matters most.
  • Commercially aware with effective closing skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for the rapidly evolving media landscape.
  •  Experience or a strong interest in the beauty, fashion, and luxury goods sectors is highly advantageous.
