This role is ideal for experienced Care Assistants, Mental Health Support Workers, Learning Disability Support Workers, and Autism Support Workers looking for agency work across residential and supported living services.

Role Overview

As an Agency Care and Support Worker with Tender Caregivers, you will provide high-quality, person-centered care to adults with dementia, learning disabilities, autism, and complex mental health needs. You will work in a variety of care settings, gaining broad experience while maintaining flexibility over your schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support

• Support individuals with Dementia, Learning Disabilities (LD), Autism Spectrum Conditions, and Mental Health conditions

• Deliver person-centred care in residential and supported living services

• Follow care plans, risk assessments, and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies

• Maintain accurate care documentation and daily records

• Promote independence, dignity, and safeguarding at all times

• Support service users with community access and social inclusion

• Use de-escalation techniques to manage behaviours of concern

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 12 months paid UK experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, or Mental Health Support Worker

• Experience in Dementia Care, Learning Disabilities, Autism, or Mental Health settings

• Strong understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults

• Flexible availability (days, nights, weekends)

• Right to work in the UK

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

Desirable

• PMVA / MAPA training

• Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support

• Experience in supported living or specialist mental health units
