This position requires a combination of emergency medical skills and safe driving abilities to ensure patients receive timely, professional, and compassionate care while being transported to medical facilities.</p> <p> <strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong> Patient Care: Provide emergency medical treatment, stabilize patients, and administer first aid or advanced life support (ALS) as required.<br /> Transport: Safely drive the ambulance to and from emergency locations, ensuring timely and secure patient transportation to hospitals or medical centers.<br /> Assessment: Perform initial assessments of patients’ conditions and communicate relevant information to the medical team at the receiving hospital.<br /> Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that medical equipment, supplies, and the ambulance vehicle are properly maintained, functional, and stocked.<br /> Collaboration: Work closely with fellow paramedics, EMTs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.<br /> Documentation: Accurately complete patient care reports and other necessary documentation.<br /> Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency calls, assessing the scene and providing immediate care as needed.<br /> Patient Advocacy: Ensure patient comfort and safety during transport, addressing their concerns and providing reassurance as needed.</p> <p> <strong>Education Qualifications:</strong> Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited paramedic training program.<br /> Certifications:<br /> National or state-level paramedic certification (EMT-P).<br /> Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.<br /> CPR and First Aid certification (basic and advanced levels).<br /> Additional certifications may include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).<br /> Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in emergency medical services (EMS) or related field, with a strong emphasis on pre-hospital emergency care.</p> <p> <strong>Key Attributes:</strong> Strong Medical Knowledge: Expertise in emergency medical techniques, patient assessment, and administering life-saving procedures.<br /> Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly analyze situations and provide effective solutions during emergencies.<br /> Physical Stamina: Ability to lift patients and medical equipment, and work long shifts in physically demanding environments.<br /> Excellent Communication: Clear and concise communication skills, both with patients and fellow healthcare providers.<br /> Empathy and Compassion: Ability to provide comfort and reassurance to patients during highly stressful situations.<br /> Attention to Detail: Ensure all medical procedures, documentation, and safety measures are followed to the letter.<br /> Safety-Conscious: Knowledge and adherence to safety regulations while operating an ambulance and during patient transport.</p> <p> <strong>About the Role:</strong> As an Ambulance Driver/Paramedic, you will be an essential part of a dynamic emergency medical team, providing life-saving care to individuals in critical situations. This role involves a high level of responsibility, as you will be expected to make quick decisions under pressure, administer medical treatment, and ensure the safe and efficient transport of patients.
