Name and description of the hiring department

As part of Bell Controllers organization, the Bank Reconciliation team is in the Accounting Services department and is responsible for the daily reconciliation of bank transactions as customer’s receipts, company disbursements and other bank transactions.

Job Duties / Accountabilities

  • Support the financial results close process to ensure accurate, complete and timely results through;
    • Validate data from various sources captured in SAP
    • Produce entries (such as journal entries) by compiling and validating data to record financial transactions
    • Prepare and analyze G/L account reconciliations to justify balance and explain variances
  • Research and analyze data using basic accounting principles, provide various information and explanations to internal and external parties and initiate appropriate actions
  • Produce financial reports and spreadsheets for internal and external parties, including auditors
  • Identify and initiate required actions. This includes providing advice and recommendations to internal or external parties
  • Take the necessary measures to ensure the accuracy, promptness and completeness of the data that will be used to produce financial information and reports
  • Take all necessary measures to comply with established regulatory controls
  • Participate in identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and implementing changes leading to process efficiencies

Essential Qualifications / Competencies

  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and/or external parties
  • Ability to provide subject matter guidance
  • Ability to develop and maintain key relationships necessary to effectively complete required duties
  • MS Excel Advanced
  • MS Outlook Intermediate
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Ability to learn and use new technologies and tools
  • Ability to work under pressure with specific deadlines
  • Previous experience in a Finance/Accounting role

Preferred Qualifications / Competencies

  • Working knowledge of SAP (P50) module and JESS system processes

Working Conditions

  • Monday to Friday, normal business hours
  • Ability to do overtime hours to meet specific deadlines


Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
