AVP Cards and Statements Project Manager.

Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The  AVP Cards and Statements Project Manager owns and delivers customer communication solutions. This role is responsible for initiatives related to billing statements, card packages, and marketing letters, including content and materials, software design, system configuration strategies, testing & validation, and launch.  You will be the central point of contact in all aspects of the of the communication lifecycle, from content, calculation, and display to segmentation and delivery.

You will work with stakeholders (Marketing, Client Development, Technology) and other functions and suppliers across the company on initiatives that manifest in billing statements, card packages, and marketing letters; value prop changes, payment product options, pricing term products (fees and finance charges), promotional transaction products, loyalty/ reward products, and other 3rd party product offers.

This role is an expert in their project teams and Marketing Agile pod; developing & delivering solutions, identifying process improvements, solving for complex change requirements, and overseeing testing and post-production monitoring.

This position can require working at a Synchrony site and travel to supplier sites for quality checks, meetings, and planning sessions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead execution efforts for initiatives related to billing statements, card packages, and letters from inception thru design, testing and validation, and launch; define and gather requirements and timeline, with a focus on quality and timely delivery; organize and lead project working meetings; prepare and communicate project status, progress, & all required documentation;  manage own workload capacity, monitoring, & milestone achievements.

  • Key participant in Agile pod workflow; partner with client teams and requesters on planning, supporting team members with problem-solving, escalations, and solutions.

  • Maintain standard processes and operational documentation; ensure changes and projects adhere to all regulations, critical to compliance, and critical to quality mandates; identify and implement quality improvement & process simplicity to meet evolving client, business, and compliance requirements.

  • Participate in development and implementation of new processes, technology, and related infrastructure.

  • Provide consultative input to client teams and internal process owners on best practices.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of degree, a high school diploma/GED and  5  years of experience in Marketing Operations /  Credit or Debit Card project management experience.

  • 3 years in design, testing & validation of business requirements.

  • 3 years experience with financial services / credit processing systems; Fiserv, First Data, TSYS, FIS.

  • 3 years leading cross functional team projects.

  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with Fiserv system configuration tools: PCF, DecisionQuest®, SCS, and PEP.

  • Experience in automating campaign build, test, and validation processes.

  • Outstanding communication, relationship building, influencing, and collaboration skills.

  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view.

  • Ability to clearly explain technical information to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • PMP, Agile, Scrum certification a plus.

Grade/Level: 10

                                                                                  

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

                    

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
