## AVP, Interoperability Data Acquisition Join Humana and help put health first. The AVP, Data Acquisition provides leadership and strategic direction for all data acquisition products and storage solutions within the Interoperability function. This role oversees collection, integration, and management of data assets — including medical records, supplemental data, ADT feeds, and related sources — ensuring data is accessible, secure, and supports enterprise-wide interoperability objectives. This is a remote position with occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings; scheduled weekly hours are 40. This position leads strategy, development, and execution for data acquisition products such as medical records, supplemental data, admission/discharge/transfer (ADT) feeds, and other healthcare data sources. You'll oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise data storage solutions to ensure high availability, security, and compliance with industry regulations. The role requires partnering with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and partners to enhance acquisition capabilities and to align with corporate goals. Managing data integration and ingestion pipelines is central to the job, guaranteeing timely and accurate flow of data across business and technology platforms. - Oversee data acquisition and storage practices to ensure adherence to corporate governance, privacy, and security standards. - Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators for data acquisition products, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. - Collaborate cross-functionally to support interoperability solutions that rely on robust and reliable data sources. - Provide leadership and guidance to a team of data acquisition and storage professionals, fostering innovation and operational excellence. - Oversee budget planning and financial management for data acquisition initiatives to optimize resource allocation and value delivery. - Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data acquisition and storage to drive strategic enhancements to Humana’s capabilities. Education and experience expectations are explicit: a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in digital product development, data acquisition, data management, or related leadership roles, ideally within the healthcare industry. Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale data products and enterprise storage solutions is required. Technical understanding and qualifications include a strong familiarity with healthcare data types, interoperability standards, EHRs and regulatory requirements. Specific technologies and standards mentioned are FHIR, HL7, and API integration. Experience working with vendors and collaborating with partners on roadmaps and feature development is expected. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, along with a proven track record of successful team leadership and talent development. The compensation range for this role is $203,400 - $279,800 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan; the incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
