Kodiak Raspberry Island Remote Lodge is seeking an experienced Boat Captain / Fishing Guide to join our small, professional team for the 2026 season, May 20-Sept 26, 2026.   This role combines seamanship, fishing expertise, and guest engagement in one of the most remote and beautiful places in remote Alaska. You’ll live at our off grid lodge in the Kodiak Archipelago, operate a fast, modern charter boat, and guide guests from around the world through world-class fishing and wildlife experiences.  Pay is roughly $10,000/month, plus tips, plus end of season bonus, plus room and board, with one day off per week, private quarters with bathroom.  Captains operate their vessel on day charters based out of our remote lodge on 9 hr fishing days, then fillet their catch at day's end.  Additionally they are responsible for keeping their boat clean and light maintenance, including 100hr main oil changes, etc.  We have one rotating deck hand that alternates among our three boats, and an additional temp guide that can help on the boats as well.  Most of our clientele are returning and help out here and there, keeping the 'boat strait' when trolling, or helping rig, etc, in some cases.  this is an easy, fun job if we let it be, but the emphasis is catching fish and having fun, all in a safe manner.
