How you can make your markAs a Business Data Engineer, you will provide technical support for Power BI and SharePoint within Boskalis Nederland. You will work closely with our Netherlands-based team and support us in developing, maintaining, and enhancing technical applications on both platforms. Our team gathers questions and digital requirements from across the organization and projects; you translate these into effective solutions in Power BI and SharePoint.Your Responsibilities As Business Data Engineer AreBusiness Intelligence; Technical Skills:Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports in Power BI.Build efficient and scalable data models tailored to business information needs.Write robust DAX formulas and Power Query transformations.Design dashboards with strong visualization and UX/UI principles, ensuring clarity, usability, and user-friendliness.Experience working with different data sources (SQL, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, cloud platforms).Improve data pipelines and ensure strong data quality. Proactively finding solutions for business questions into actionable BI solutions.Possessing the Microsoft Power BI certification; PL 300; Power BI Data Analyst Associate, is considered as an advantage. SharePoint; Technical Skills: SharePoint functional:Site architecture (tenant, sites, webs), modern pages, web parts.Lists & libraries: content types, site columns, view optimization, JSON column/row/form formatting.Permissions & governance: SharePoint groups vs. Entra ID roles, external sharing policiesAutomation with Power Automate (SharePoint triggers/actions, webhooks)Knowledge FromBuild web parts and extensions (Application/Field/Command sets)Microsoft Graph endpoints (Sites/Drives/Lists/Users/Groups/Search)Backend integration patterns via Azure FunctionsYour QualitiesYou can make your mark as a Business Data Engineer if you have:Proven expertise in Power BI is a requirement for this position; familiarity with SharePoint is considered an advantage.Experience with Agile and DevOps working methodologies is considered an advantage.A proactive and professional attitude, with the ability to initiate and maintain communication with the Information Advisors in the Netherlands.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, translate inquiries into reliable technical solutions.The working language in the team is Dutch; proficiency in English is required and knowledge of Dutch is considered a plus.We offerWhat You Can ExpectCareer opportunities: We challenge you every day to get better.
