About Filmhub 🎬

Filmhub is a global, all rights, film & TV distributor. Leveraging decades of industry expertise and a legacy of billions of dollars in global box office, we distribute unlimited opportunity to the storytellers, creatives, and makers who drive our industry.

Filmhub was founded by world-renowned composer and producer Klaus Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator) and Silicon Valley entrepreneur Alan d’Escragnolle (Square, Intuit) and funded by the top investors in tech & entertainment including a16z & 8VC.

Pairing a global network of strategic relationships with cutting-edge technology, we represent the industry’s leaders, from producers of global blockbusters to Oscar legends, festival darlings, cinema auteurs, and indie heroes.

What's the opportunity? 🤔

Filmhub is transforming how films reach audiences around the world. We’re a distributor powered by top tech built for today’s rights holders: filmmakers, distributors, and catalog owners who deserve more access, transparency, and control. We reject “that’s the way it is” thinking and build systems that put creatives and rights holders first. We’re scaling fast—thoughtfully and with purpose.

We’re hiring a senior Business Operations & Analytics leader to help Filmhub operate with clarity and discipline as we scale. This role works closely with Alan d’Escragnolle (CEO) and leaders across Content, Product & Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to support executive decision-making, define operating metrics, and bring structure to complex, cross-functional questions.

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who can work independently, translate ambiguity into clear insight, and help leadership make better decisions across the business.

What big questions will I answer? 💡

• How is Filmhub performing across the business?

• What should leadership prioritize next, and why?

• How do financial performance, operational capacity, and strategy connect?

• What tradeoffs are we making, and are they the right ones?

• What operating metrics and cadence should leadership rely on as the company scales?

What will I be doing? 💡

• Partner with the executive team on strategic and operational decisions

• Own executive-level dashboards, KPIs, and recurring business reviews

• Build and maintain models for forecasting, scenario planning, and performance analysis

• Work across Content, Product & Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to evaluate performance, efficiency, and opportunities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning in the absence of a dedicated finance team

• Turn open-ended leadership questions into structured analysis and clear recommendations

• Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the company

• Help maintain a shared source of truth for leadership reporting and decision-making

• Take ownership of cross-functional initiatives that need clarity and follow-through

What skills do I need?📖

• 6–10+ years in business operations, analytics, finance, strategy, or similar roles

• Experience working directly with executives on important business decisions

• Strong analytical foundation (spreadsheets, SQL, BI tools, or similar)

• Comfort building models, dashboards, and narratives from imperfect data

• Ability to operate independently with limited direction

• Clear written and verbal communication, especially for leadership audiences

• Experience in high-growth or scaling companies

How can I stand out? 📣

These activities and skills are optional but could make a difference:

• Background in BizOps, analytics, strategy, or finance-adjacent roles

• Experience in media, marketplaces, SaaS, or creator-focused platforms

• Examples of work that changed decisions or priorities

• Strong business judgment and instinct for where to spend time

• Comfort working across teams without formal authority

• Interest in film, creators, and the independent ecosystem
