Business Planning Analyst - Amazon

They are seeking a Business Planning Analyst to drive Amazon business performance by providing strategic insights that inform growth decisions, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure effective reporting, forecasting, and performance management.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain total and category level weekly reporting, by combining multiple data sets required for critical reports such as the POS report and Scorecard
  • Gain an understanding of commercial business needs and translate into technical solutions by leveraging data set. Evolve complex, multi-faceted findings into clear business recommendations that can be explained to both technical and non-technical partners
  • Support the implementation of sales analytics tools and establish understanding of new metrics, context and action to drive share & sales growth opportunities
  • Combine multiple data sets, determining the best approach and variables, drilling to the root cause through analysis and business knowledge
  • Analyze customer and consumer data and research to identify trends, key indicators, patterns, and insights
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to Amazon Team on patterns and relationships in data, along with recommendations and opportunities for revenue growth, new ideas, and creative solutions
  • Communicate analysis using comprehensive, easy to digest methods that will translate into impactful and actionable reports

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant business or analytical experience
  • Proven track record as a business or data analyst in consumer, digital, or technology fields
  • Proficient skills in Power BI, Excel (advanced functions, VBA/macros), PowerPoint and Access
  • Tangible experience integrating multiple data sources for cohesive analytics
  • Familiarity with Amazon's Vendor Central reporting platform
  • Ability to translate business questions/problems into data requirements
  • Comfortable driving impact analyses from concept to execution
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and efficiency
  • Understand how to balance technical constraints with business priorities
  • Able to weigh short-term solutions against long-term goals
  • Clear, concise communicator across teams and levels
  • Proactively identify and address risks and roadblocks
