Business Process Mapper Needed. TRAC Framework. Change Request Process
I am looking for an experienced business process mapper to help document a current-state Change & Scope Management process also referred to as Change Requests for a professional services project environment.
This work is not about optimization or redesign yet. The goal is to capture the As-Is process skeleton so we can align internally before making improvements.We use the TRAC framework for process mapping.
If you are not familiar with TRAC, that is fine as long as you are comfortable learning and following a defined framework.

Scope of work
The scope for this engagement is one process only for now, to make sure you're a good fit:
Change & Scope Management. Change Requests.
You will help produce a clear, lightweight process map that includes:
- Trigger. What causes a change request to begin.
- Token. The single thing that moves through the process.
- Activities. 5 to 7 high-level phases. Concept-level, not step-by-step procedures.
- Result. What "done" actually means.
- Cases. Major variants such as approved, rejected, deferred, or absorbed changes.

Deliverables
- A clear current-state process map following TRAC principles.
The map can be delivered as:
- FigJam. Preferred if you are comfortable with it.
- Or a clean diagram or structured document that can be easily translated into FigJam later.
This is the bones of the process, not a polished or client-facing artifact.

- I will provide background, context, and answer clarifying questions.
- You will synthesize that input into a structured process map.
- Expect some back-and-forth to validate accuracy.
- Speed and clarity matter more than polish.
What I am looking for
- Experience with business process mapping or service delivery processes.
- Comfort working at a concept level, not just procedural workflows.
- Ability to resist over-detailing.
- Clear communicator who documents reality, not how things "should" work.

Time and budget
This is a short, focused engagement.
Please include:
- Your hourly rate with an expectation of how many hours this will take you (I'm expecting ~2 for this first one)
- A mockup of your other process maps, preferably one about Change Management.
- Any experience with TRAC, end-to-end process mapping, or FigJam if applicable.
Important note
This is internal working material. If your instinct is to over-polish, over-model, or jump ahead to optimization, this will not be a good fit.
We are intentionally starting simple.
Contract duration of less than 1 month. with 30 hours per week.
