Job Summary:

Requirements

  • Aged 21 years or above is the minimum criterion
  • Tips for passing a drug test at Ryder
  • To meet Ryder's requirements, candidates must successfully complete a background verification, motor vehicle check, and demonstrate their drug and alcohol testing history from the last three years with former employers
  • Complete a Department of Transportation physical for licensing requirements
  • Obtain a satisfactory result on the Ryder road evaluation
  • It is essential to provide documentation of your Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and any applicable endorsements as part of the application process
  • Essential requirement includes documented experience operating a tractor-trailer or a similar commercial vehicle with a Class A license:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years,or
  • A minimum of two years of recent experience is necessary within the past five years
  • A track record of five years of experience within the last ten years
  • Displaying adeptness in following instructions communicated through writing or speech
  • Skill in reading, comprehending, and applying laws, rules, and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining adherence to the relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and agency guidelines is imperative
  • Discovering and reducing safety risks and maintaining detailed logs and records
  • Aid in the handling of freight during the loading and unloading process as per customer needs
  • Completes additional duties as designated
