Construction Manager

Trinity Solar is seeking an organized and motivated Construction Manager for our Construction department. Under the direction of the Regional Vice President, the Construction Manager performs a wide variety of construction department duties supporting the primary goal of installing high volume residential solar. The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and genuine care to his/her work craft. Most importantly the ideal candidate will be able to maintain a high level of business ethics.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, schedule and oversee a variety of construction work including, but not limited to: Attic reinforcement (rafter sistering, knee-walls, collar ties, LVL beam installation), roof replacement or repair, trenching, drywall replacement or repair, general repairs and residential construction.
  • Oversee a team of 6-10 office employees and 20 field laborers, carpenters, roofers and crew leads.
  • Communicate with employees and subcontractors to provide job specifications
  • Coordinate with office admin and subcontractors to schedule customer jobs
  • Ensure subcontractors are performing work to meet our company's standards
  • Manage jobs within provided budget and track overall job probability
  • Maintain Installation Calendar, coordinate crews and deliveries.
  • Visit jobs in progress and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Respond to emergencies (leaks, damages, and urgent customer concerns)
  • Monitor work to manufacturer specifications, contract terms, and Safety Standards

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver license and clean driving record.
  • Solid computer skills: Office application suite, salesforce, scheduling apps.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in construction management
  • Ability to set expectations and service customers through project completion
  • Strong verbal communication skills with both internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and manufacturer specifications
  • Ability to diagnose installation errors and recommend corrective action
  • Strong time-management capabilities and ability to navigate logistics of region
  • CSL License not required but recommended

Physical Requirement:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative standards.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Must be comfortable with and able to set up and use ladders, work at height and access residential roofing structures.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
