Construction Manager, WWRGD - New Store Construction

<strong>Description<br><br></strong>Application deadline: Mar 15, 2026<br><br>Join the Worldwide Grocery Real Estate & Store Development (WWGRD)- New Store Construction team as a Construction Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of complex construction projects through strong cross-functional partnerships and external partner management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br><br><ul><li> Oversee day-to-day project execution in partnership with internal teams, ensuring alignment on schedule milestones and budget targets owned by the CPM.</li><li> Serve as the primary liaison between construction project teams and internal partner organizations, fostering collaboration and clear communication across stakeholders.</li><li> Align delivery from external project managers, architects, design consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to meet project requirements</li><li> Manage customer and external partner relationships, meeting with stakeholders to define project parameters and ensure accountability for quality and timely delivery.</li><li> Support negotiations of agreements with customers, suppliers, and external partners.</li><li> Collaborate with internal teams to eliminate risks to innovation or customer satisfaction and find a path forward in difficult situations.</li><li> Make trade-off decisions and defend those decisions to internal stakeholders.</li><li> Monitor project execution metrics, report challenges to the CPM, and ensure corrective actions are taken.</li><li> Recommend improvements to the way projects are scoped, built, tested, and deployed.</li><li> Review project requests against business need to provide approvals or alternate solutions.</li><li> Execute day-to-day operations autonomously and deliver the right outcomes with limited guidance.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Basic Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field</li><li> Experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, Development Manager, Owner's project management representative or in other Commercial Development and Construction related disciplines<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Experience in project management from design phase through implementation and operation<br><br></li></ul>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.<br><br>Los Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
