Our solutions are utilized by schools, school districts and their parental communities to protect children from seeing harmful content online, to identify children at risk based on their digital behaviors and to ensure teachers maintain focus and safe learning in the digital classroom. 27k schools and 6 million parents depend on our solutions to keep 22 million children safe in 180 countries around the world. **What’s the opportunity?** We are looking for Part Time (20hrs pw) Content Moderators to provide human moderation support for our Smoothwall Monitor Managed Service offering. You’ll work within our Customer Success team to review the online activity of students in the UK, USA and Australia, identify safeguarding risks and contact Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) within schools as necessary. The work requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of modern online culture amongst young people and an ability to work at pace whilst making accurate decisions. **Due to GDPR restrictions applicants must be UK based. **Here’s how you’ll do it**: - Reviewing content flagged as requiring human moderation to assess category and risk levels - Providing human insight and quality assurance to automated assessments of safeguarding content - Collaborating with colleagues as necessary to resolve content reviews as a team where necessary - Escalating reviews to supervisors when deemed necessary - Calling school Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) when required to advise of high-risk activity - Providing proactive feedback on any emerging trends - Working in a fast paced environment **What will you bring?** - A good understanding of English - Very IT literate with a good knowledge of social media, online games & apps used by young people - Familiarity with online culture and norms - Quick decision-making skills - An ability to remain calm and empathetic when under pressure or dealing with difficult situations - A strong work ethic and ability to stay focused for extended periods - Excellent customer, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal, literacy, numeracy) - Strong team player with the ability to work on own initiatives with creative ability to solve problems - Ability to work in a fast paced environment. **Desirable** - Previous web / content moderating experience - Previous experience of working with vulnerable situations **You’ll have**: - Passion about helping keep our users safe - A strong team player - Focussed on a culture of continuous improvement - High attention to detail while meeting quality and productivity goals **Why choose Smoothwall by Qoria**: **In this role, you can expect**: - Employee share scheme - Enhanced holiday & family leave - Tech Allowance .... and much more **More importantly, you’ll**: - ** Deliver tech with purpose...** As part of our Moderating team, your work truly matters.
