Vacancy Description ABOUT THE ROLE: We are currently recruiting for motivated, reliable and customer focused Cover Soft Play Operative to join our team based in Hatfield, AL10 0XR. Job Type: Permanent - Part time Pay Rate: £12.21 per annum. Working Hours: Flexible working days, Between 10:00Hrs to 18:00Hrs. Start Date: Immediately. Role Summary: To provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and families using Get Wild. The role involves supervising play areas, delivering excellent customer service, operating the POS and booking system, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the centre. You will work with the site teams to ensure excellent service delivery and that our clients have a better day, every day. Your responsibilities and Key Areas of work may include: - Supervise children within the play area to ensure their safety at all times. - Enforce site rules politely and consistently to promote safe play. - Operate the POS and booking system accurately, including admissions, party bookings, payments, refunds, and vouchers where applicable. - Manage customer check-ins, capacity control, and wristband or entry systems using the booking platform. - Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with enquiries, bookings, and resolving minor issues - Carry out regular safety checks on equipment and report any defects immediately. - Maintain high cleaning standards throughout the facility, including play frames, seating areas, and part areas. - Support the setup and hosting of parties and group bookings where required. - Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with queries and resolving minor issues. - Monitor capacity levels and follow procedures during busy periods. - Administer basic first aid where trained and follow accident/incident reporting procedures. - Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive team environment. - Follow all company policies, including safeguarding, health & safety, and fire procedures. - Undertake any reasonable duties requested by management to support the operation. ABOUT YOU: - Applicants must have the right to work in the UK - Friendly, approachable, and reliable. - Strong communication and customer service skills. - Confidence using POS systems, tablets, or computer-based booking systems (or willingness to learn). - Ability to remain calm and organised in busy environments. - Comfortable working with children and families. - Good awareness of health and safety. - Team player with a positive, can-do attitude. Desirable: - Previous experience in a soft play, leisure, childcare, retail, or hospitality environment. - Experience handling card transactions. - First Aid qualification. Physical Requirements: - Able to be on your feet for extended periods. - Comfortable moving around the play structure where necessary. - Capable of light manual handling tasks. Previous experience is desirable; however, full training will be provided. You will need to present and conduct yourself in a professional, courteous and appropriate manner in accordance with the Company policies, procedures, guidelines and values.
