Role overview:

As a Cyber Advisor, your day-to-day responsibilities involve supporting the development and delivery of cybersecurity services to reduce security risks for At-Bay’s policyholders. You will regularly engage with insureds to provide advice on managing cyber risks and improving their security posture, while also offering mitigation assistance for identified vulnerabilities. Additionally, you'll act as a liaison between insureds and the underwriting team to address any cybersecurity-related questions. This role includes gathering and analyzing data to identify key threat scenarios, collaborating on scalable risk mitigation strategies, and participating in market messaging to promote cybersecurity services.

How you’ll make an impact: 

By 3 months…

  • You’ll understand our business – how our products, services, distribution, technology stack, and partners serve our customers through insurance and security
  • You’ll be proficient in gathering and analyzing data to identify vulnerabilities and deliver tailored risk mitigation strategies
  • You’ll establish relationships to drive collaboration across multiple teams, including cyber research, underwriting, claims, risk, business analytics, and MDR
  • You'll establish confident communication with policyholders, advising them on managing cyber risks and improving their security posture

By 6 months...

  • You’ll contribute to the refinement and scalability of At-Bay’s cybersecurity services
  • You’ll lead cybersecurity engagements with insureds, providing expert guidance and delivering comprehensive, actionable reports
  • You’ll participate in strategic discussions and initiatives that shape At-Bay’s cybersecurity service roadmap

What you’ve accomplished already:

  • Advised clients on detecting host and network-based intrusions using technologies like EDR, helping them enhance their security posture
  • Guided clients in collecting and analyzing data from various cyber defense resources to make informed decisions about their risk management strategies
  • Identified and categorized vulnerabilities and attack types, providing tailored recommendations to mitigate risks for policyholders
  • Interpreted detection signatures and performed packet-level analysis to assist clients in understanding and addressing potential threats
  • Conducted vulnerability assessments, advising on remediation efforts to strengthen clients' overall security systems
  • Applied cybersecurity and privacy principles to align with clients' organizational requirements, enhancing their compliance and risk management efforts
  • Provided trend analysis and insights into emerging cyber threats, advising clients on proactive defense strategies
  • Navigated cyber defense reporting structures to streamline communication between clients and their internal security teams, improving response times and decision-making

Location: Fully Remote

Our salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 per year. Base salary is determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to market data, location, internal equitability, domain knowledge, experiences and skills.
