Experience in implementing various types of machine learning models, including neural networks, linear regression, polynomial networks, and factorization machines, among others, is required. This position requires experience in developing algorithms that have been integrated into commercial products.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Responsible for the creation, identification, development, and continuous evolution of the comapny''s machine learning based algorithms</li><li>Communicate roadblocks, issues, and limitations related to algorithm development and make recommendations on creative solutions to build the product platform.</li><li>Identify and deploy the best machine learning strategies, including when to use which strategy, such as supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised, or reinforcement learning.</li><li>Drive the associated data strategy, including sources, organization, collection, and extraction for use in the development and continuous evolution of matching algorithms.</li><li>Apply advanced statistical techniques such as principal component analysis (PCA), hypothesis testing, outlier detection, and feature selection methods (e.g., mutual information) to clean, transform, and curate datasets for optimal performance in machine learning models.</li><li>Work closely with the Engineering team to understand the optimal timing of integrating and validating developed algorithms in our products throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to product.</li><li>Work closely with the Principal Data Scientist as part of a cross-functional team to develop and evolve the Vitalxchange technology stack and intellectual property.</li><li>Helping to identify areas where risk management practices should be adopted</li><li>Adhering to company policies and standards of conduct, and reporting incidents and observed anomalies or weaknesses<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in developing machine learning algorithms in an applied field (financial lending applications desirable)</li><li>Expert-level knowledge of three or more of the following: Java, Python, R, Spark, Tensorflow, Theano.</li><li>Experience with multiple ML platforms to process structured and unstructured data</li><li>Familiar with multiple ML techniques such as Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Vector Machines, Supervised/Unsupervised Learning</li><li>Familiar with statistical techniques for curating data and evaluating machine learning models, such as creating confidence intervals, t-tests, chi-square tests, Bayesian inference, linear regression, logistic regression, k-means, mutual information, etc.</li><li>MS or higher in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar field with advanced coursework<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>How to apply for this opportunity?<br><br></strong><ul><li>Step 1: Click On Apply!
