Title Decision Support Specialist (Data Visualizer) (Remote) Required Skills and Experience • 5-10 years of experience in data visualization and analysis. • Proficient in gathering and cleaning data from various sources. • Familiar with statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate program requirements into technical solutions and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. • Good oral (presenting and public speaking) and written (documentation, briefing reports, correspondence, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) communication skills. • Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments. Preferred Skills and Experience • 5-10 years of experience with Qlik Sense or Qlik Cloud. • Experience with Alteryx. • Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar data tools. • 5+ years of experience with environmental data (science, water quality, or related fields. Primary Responsibilities • Develop visually appealing, intuitive, user friendly, and insightful Qlik Cloud dashboards and reports. • Advise program areas on which visualizations and analyses would best help them achieve their goals. • Collaborate with data engineers and others to gather and clean data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and quality. • Use statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, and extract meaningful insights. • Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis. • Work collaboratively with program areas to identify KPIs and develop metrics to track and measure progress toward goals. • Collaborate with data engineers and others to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes. • Monitor data quality to identify data issues and propose data cleansing or enhancement solutions. • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting. • Partner with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, scientists, and others to understand data needs, address technical challenges, and promote data-driven decision-making across the organization. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members and colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence in D&A practices.
