Job title: Director, Financial Operations - Remote Company: Surgery Partners Job description: Job Title: Director of Financial Operations - Remote JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee accounting support for up to 16 facilities of varying complexity, including all SOX control monitoring Perform monthly close in accordance with GAAP Monthly Income Statement trend analysis and other preparation for review of Surgery Centers financial reports with Operations Ensure g/l and Onestream integrity is maintained Participate in initial input and assumptions for annual budget process Act as key point of contact for external and internal auditors Assist in ongoing accounting operations that will deliver continuous improvement around standardization, scalability, and automation. EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: BS Accounting Degree Must have Healthcare Experience Must have at Management experience with leadership of accountants and experience with influencing operational management and deciphering financial data into actionable operational information and working with senior operational leadership Manage up to 3 direct reports and 10 indirect reports Assist in recruiting and onboarding of new talent (external hires and internal promotions/transfers) KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Financial statements closed within days 9 or 10 (as applicable) Compliance with all SOX control expectations (to be clear, findings of deficiencies are ok, but only if first identified by management vs. our auditors) Positive feedback from operators. Successful onboarding of new talent, with no regrettable turnover experienced. Must be self-starter Must be able to work well in team environment Must be detail-oriented but also able to see big picture Must have knowledge of GAAP and SOX requirements and comfort working with JV partners Must be comfortable training team members Must have advanced database management (data warehouse, excel, etc.) Preferred – prior experience managing a team Preferred – experience with Onestream Mentor at least 1 internal professional Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well Inspires teammates to follow them PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting and standing associated with normal office environment.
