Industry design specialization may exist (e.g. electrical substations, transmission lines, concrete foundations, steel structures etc.). From data and sketches develop professional looking design documents. Essential Responsibilities Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes Ability to follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings using company and client drafting standards Accuracy and effectiveness in electronic drafting Perform drawing and technology research Coordinate with designers, technicians, engineers, and other personnel to incorporate concepts and information into drawing packages Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed Skills & Knowledge Professional, articulate, and able to exercise good independent judgement and discretion Highly organized, motivated self-starter Proven record of delivering a high standard of quality work with exceptional attention to detail Comfortable working with ambiguity and creating systems and plans where there are none Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with a quickly growing team Good interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills; ability to interact successfully with Clients, Contractors, Vendors, and at all levels of the organization; demonstrates high emotional intelligence A strong command of the English language Qualifications & Experience Experience: 2+ years of drafting or relevant experience Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency with and/or knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, and Bentley MicroStation preferred Good written and oral communications skills Good interpersonal and people skills Working Conditions Work Environment: Work is performed in an office setting and some field work is also required Travel: Minimal travel may be required (approximately 0-10%) Physical Activities: Must be able to lift 50lbs. Managerial Responsibility: Employee is responsible for managing their own work schedule with input from supervisor and completing assigned tasks. Employee is responsible for coordinating with others to complete work. Employee should identify discrepancies in assigned work and bring to attention of supervisor or engineer responsible for the project in a timely manner. Employees work product should be self-checked in a manner that is suitable for review by the supervisor or engineer responsible for the project.
