Apply today and help us keep NC State shining bright!</span><br><br><span><strong>Working Hours: 4:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday - Friday</strong></span><br><br><span><strong><em>Key responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:</em></strong></span><ul><li><strong>Clean and sanitize</strong> designated areas using standard cleaning assignments to maintain a safe and hygienic environment</li><li><strong>Report any discrepancies, damages, or maintenance needs</strong> within buildings and promptly respond to emergencies and inclement weather</li><li><strong>Operate housekeeping equipment</strong> such as vacuums, mops, and scrubbers to complete tasks like dusting, disinfecting, and replenishing supplies</li><li><strong>Periodically strip and refinish floors, shampoo and extract carpets, and perform pressure washing of entrances, exterior walls, and windows</strong></li><li><strong>Remove and manage recycling</strong> from centralized indoor recycling sites</li><li>Assist with window washing and other seasonal cleaning tasks as needed</li><li>Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and the general public, and follow verbal and written instructions related to work assignments and operational needs.</li><li>Perform lifting duties up to 30 pounds frequently and 60 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodations, and perform physical tasks such as grasping, pushing, and pulling cleaning equipment; reaching overhead; bending, squatting, climbing, and maintaining balance.</li></ul></p> <p><strong>Other Work/Responsibilities:</strong> <ul><li>Perform snow and ice removal within a team environment during inclement weather, in addition to coordinating with coworkers during group response to emergencies.</li><li>Perform team cleaning tasks and projects during breaks, and when space is accessible.</li><li>May be required to fill in for absenteeism outside of the assigned area.</li><li>Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the organization and evolving priorities. </li></ul></p> <p><strong>Minimum Experience/Education:</strong> <br><span>Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. <br><em>Special certification may be required for some of these positions.</em></span></p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong> <ul><li>The position requires the ability to frequently lift 30 lbs. and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
