Ericsson Remote RAN Integration Engineer (Pre Verizon)

About the Role:

Techner is seeking experienced Ericsson Remote RAN Integration Engineers with proven Verizon Ix (Integration) experience on latest Ericsson equipment. This role involves end-to-end remote integration, troubleshooting, and support for Verizon Wireless network deployments, ensuring network quality and compliance with project standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate and commission Ericsson RAN equipment including E// Basebands (BB5216, BB6630, BB6648, BB6610) and related RAN equipment (RRU8843, RRU8863, RRU4449 and Street Macro 6701/6705, AIR 6419, LPRU, SAU, XMU).
  • Perform hardware/BBU swaps, license installations, software upgrades, and configuration updates remotely.
  • Execute call testing, NTP configuration, and site acceptance testing (SAT) for LTE/5G nodes.
  • Analyse alarms, KPIs, and logs to troubleshoot integration and performance issues.
  • Coordinate with field teams and customers to ensure timely and accurate integration.
  • Prepare and maintain integration reports, configuration logs, and completion documents.

Requirements:

  • 4–6 years of experience in wireless Ericsson Remote RAN integration and commissioning for U.S. telecom networks.
  • Proven hands-on experience in Verizon Wireless RAN integrations and related workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of 4G and 5G RAN technologies and Ericsson hardware (BBU, RRU, AAU, Microwave).
  • Proficient in Ericsson tools such as ENM, CLI, SHM, and SecureCRT.
  • Familiar withonsite Ix activities, E2E physical connections, site survey reports, KPIs, integration checklists, and design/power layout interpretation.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and flexible with project schedules.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Ericsson OEM certification or equivalent experience preferred.
