We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Examinations Invigilators to work with us on a casual ‘as required’ basis supporting students in both mock and public examinations throughout the school year.</p> <p>Candidates will be flexible, have good written and verbal communication skills, and be happy to act as a reassuring presence to students in examination rooms. About the Role As an Examinations Invigilator, candidates will support and conduct examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), the relevant awarding body, and The Heath School policies and procedures. Our student-centred approach, underpinned by The Heath Standard, ensures all pupils are supported to achieve their aspirations.</p> <p><strong>Overall Purpose of the Job</strong></p> <p>To conduct Examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), the awarding body, and The Heath School policies and procedures.</p> <p><strong>Requirements of the role</strong></p> <ul> <li>Report to the Examinations officer prior to each Examination session</li> <li>Keep Examination papers and materials secure before, during and after Examination</li> <li>Ensure Examination rooms are set out to the required standard</li> <li>Admit candidates into Examination</li> <li>Identify, seat, and instruct candidates in the conduct of their Examinations</li> <li>Distribute the correct Examination papers and materials to candidates</li> <li>Supervise candidates at all times and remain vigilant throughout Examinations</li> <li>Ensure that disruption in kept to a minimum</li> <li>Effectively deal with emergencies or irregularities</li> <li>Record/report any disruption or irregularities</li> <li>Complete attendance registers</li> <li>Collect Examination scripts at the end of Examinations</li> <li>To dismiss candidates from the Examination room</li> <li>Check that the names on the scripts match exactly the details on the attendance register</li> <li>Securely return all Examination scripts and Examination materials to the Examinations officer</li> <li>Attend training, refresher or review sessions as required</li> <li>Supervise candidates who have a clash in examination timetables between Examination sessions as required</li> <li>Facilitate access arrangements and agreed adjustments for candidates as required, e.g. acting as a reader, scribe etc. (full training will be provided)</li> <li>Complete any other examinations-related administrative tasks as required</li> <li>Undertake any other duties as may be assigned from time to time, which are commensurate with the grade of the job General</li> <li>Promote the vision and values of the school</li> <li>Maintain confidentiality and security of data held both manually and electronically.</li> <li>Have a knowledge and understanding of requirements of GDPR</li> <li>Understand and exercise personal responsibility in accordance with the school's Health and Safety policy</li> <li>Understand and implement the school's safeguarding and equal opportunities policies in all dealings with the schools’ stakeholders and community.</li> </ul> <p><strong>For further information including the person specification please view the recruitment pack.</strong></p> <p>We ask that you do not send CVs.
