Experienced American Airlines Virtual Assistant – Remote Customer Support and Administrative Expert

If you are a motivated and organized individual with a passion for delivering outstanding service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.About the RoleThe Virtual Assistant will be responsible for performing a wide range of administrative tasks, including answering general inquiries, recording cost reimbursements, handling mail and FedEx, and providing tablet support at our Group Administration Centers. You will also assist with the coordination of flight attendant parking and Group IDs, order supplies, and maintain the e-board in our group rooms. As a key member of our Flight Administration team, you will work closely with our Duty Managers to ensure the smooth operation of our flight administration activities.Key Responsibilities• Answer Airline stewards' general inquiries in person and by telephone• Record cost reimbursement, handle mail and FEDEX• Provide Tablet support at the Group Administration Centers• Aid in the coordination of Airline steward parking and Group IDs• Order supplies and maintain the e-board in the group rooms• Work at the Group Administration Center and have interaction with Airline stewards throughout the shift by coordinating and resolving Airline steward questions• Assist the Duty Managers with all aspects of Flight Administration activity• Ensure office and group room PCs and equipment are in working condition• Without a Duty Manager, the Flight Administration Coordinator will assume all Duty Manager administrative responsibilitiesEssential QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree• 2 years of experience with PC, Saber, DECS, and RES• Excellent judgment and critical thinking skills• Knowledge of working with provisional work groups• Ability to work all movements, holidays, and overtime as required, including turn of shift and days off• Must satisfy FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access honors to airport security identification presentation areas (SIDA), if applicablePreferred QualificationsWhile not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:• Current or past Flight Administration, Crew Schedule experience• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a teamSkills and CompetenciesTo excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies:• Strong administrative and organizational skills• Excellent communication and customer service skills• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applicationsCareer Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt American Airlines, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
