**Key Responsibilities**

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing superior customer service and support to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Handling busy incoming telephone orders and answering customer inquiries with professionalism and empathy
  • Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external customers, including sales teams and vendors
  • Processing customer orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring correct pricing and coding
  • Selling industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers
  • Answering customer questions and advising on equipment and materials needed for tasks
  • Demonstrating the use of equipment to customers
  • Arranging for the delivery of cylinders and hard goods
  • Stocking and maintaining showroom displays
  • Obtaining or transferring merchandise to and from other locations
  • Preparing invoices, accepting payments, and making change
  • Ensuring all required paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing
  • Communicating with external and internal customers by phone and in person
  • Coordinating with the purchasing department regarding product shortages or outages
  • Observing and following all administrative and accounting procedures strictly

**Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry systems (TIMS)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse personalities and backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to routinely lift 25 - 50 lbs., and occasionally lift 51 - 80 lbs., with frequent bending
  • Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays when necessary
  • Ability to use sound judgment to resolve both routine and non-routine issues
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment
  • Experience with computer order entry systems (TIMS) or similar software
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
