JK Concepts is seeking a strategic, detail-driven Controller to lead our financial operations and elevate the organization through improved processes, stronger cost visibility, and proactive financial leadership. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a financial professional who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment and is ready to take ownership of building and refining the systems that drive company success.

JK Concepts is a manufacturer of architectural millwork and custom cabinetry products with a 45-year history as one of the largest custom architectural millwork providers in Colorado. JK Concepts provides concept-to-completion services at scale and utilizes high-performance automated machining equipment and software alongside an experienced team of artisans, engineers, project managers, and associates to complete complex projects. The company serves various end-markets such as hospitals, office buildings, schools, churches, retailers, restaurants, hotels, housing developments, and various other end-markets. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s accounting and finance function
  • Develop members of the accounting team, promoting accountability and improvement.
  • Provide the company’s executive leadership with clear, actionable financial insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Produce accurate, timely monthly and annual financial statements, (including a monthly WIP entry with costs in excess and billings in excess balance sheet accounts)
  • Create, refine, and document financial and operational processes that improve accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.
  • Strengthening internal controls, inventory accounting, and ERP data integrity.
  • Develop and enhance cost accounting systems, job costing models, and margin analysis to support profitable growth
  • Drive organizational change by leading process improvements, standardization, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Participate in financial forecasting and budgeting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA or CMA a plus).
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (proficiency in QuickBooks a plus)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory systems, and job costing.
  • Demonstrated ability to build/improve processes and lead organizational changes.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with leadership and operational teams.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
