  • Identify inconsistencies and clarify with healthcare providers when necessary.
  • Meet deadlines and maintain high-quality transcription standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in medical transcription with a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
  • Excellent listening and typing skills, with a minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies in dictation.
  • Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Experience with transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Fluency, or similar tools).
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical transcription or a related field.
  • Previous experience transcribing for specialties such as radiology, pathology, cardiology, or orthopedics is a plus.
  • Certification in Medical Transcription (e.g., CMT or RMT) is preferred but not required.
