Front End UI Software Engineer, Slackforce Senior/Lead/Staff

Senior / Lead / Staff Frontend Engineer

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together.
Here, ambition meets action.
Tech meets trust.
And innovation isn't a buzzword it's a way of life.
The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Slackforce team is at the forefront of a strategic initiative to transform enterprise collaboration by seamlessly integrating Slack and Salesforce.
Our core mission is to redefine how businesses operate, making two of the world's most widely used platforms feel like one unified, intuitive system.

We are a team of product engineers who deeply care about the user experience.
We are seeking product-driven backend engineers with strong intuition and experience who build systems and design APIs with the end user in mind.
Our ideal candidates are collaborative, partnering closely with product managers, designers, and frontend/mobile engineers to conceptualize and build new features.
You will be instrumental in designing and owning systems and APIs that directly shape Slack's product experience, ensuring they are scalable, performant, and precisely tailored to real user needs, while making smart trade-offs between speed, cost, and user experience.

We value engineers who understand that simplicity and reliability are carefully calculated aspects of system design.
We build our app using reliable tools that our team knows and trusts, including PHP/Hack, Java, MySQL, and Linux.
Expertise in these areas is a huge plus, but having familiarity with other common web languages (such as Python or Ruby) and other relational databases are fine substitutes.

The Slackforce team is seeking Senior / Lead / Staff Frontend Engineers to lead development of high-impact, cross-platform experiences between Slack and Salesforce.
We build the integration that brings Salesforce data and workflows directly into Slack.
Our work is central to how enterprises collaborate:
creating the connective tissue that makes two of the world's most widely used platforms feel like one seamless system.

What you will be doing:

  • You'll brainstorm with Product Managers, Designers, Backend, and Frontend Engineers on your team to conceptualize and build new features for our large (and growing!) user base
  • You'll produce high-quality results by contributing heavily to team projects that have a significant impact on the business
  • You'll actively own team features or systems and define their long-term health, while also improving the health of surrounding systems.
  • You'll assist our skilled support team and operations team in triaging and resolving production issues
  • You'll mentor other engineers and deeply review code
  • You'll improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

What you should have:

  • 7+ years of experience writing client-side applications
  • Recent experience with Typescript, Redux and React
  • Expertise in building complex layouts with CSS and HTML
  • Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment
  • Experience with modern browser technologies
  • Strong UX and design sensibilities, and a desire to sweat the small stuff
  • Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy
  • Self-awareness and a desire to continually improve
  • A related technical degree required
