About the Role

As a member of the Patron Experience team, this roleis responsible formanaging access control to and from the Tanglewood grounds. The position ensuresaccurateand efficient entry while creating a welcoming first impression. Through attentive, personalized service and adherence toestablishedprocedures, theGateAttendant helps deliver a secure, seamless, and positive arrival experience for all guests.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Patron Engagement andAccess Control

  • Greetall patrons entering the Tanglewood grounds with a professional, friendly, andsafety-mindedattitude.

  • Use electronic scanners to accuratelyvalidatetickets,inspecting forauthenticity and compliance with event policies.

  • Remain vigilant and attentive at designated posts throughout the duration of the event through completion of audienceegress, reporting any safety or security concerns.immediately.

  • Ensure the safe and orderly ingress and egress of patrons by managing line controlat thegates,collaborating with public safety as needed

  • Vetting service animals' entrance onto the Tanglewood grounds

  • Monitor for prohibited items or behaviors, ensuring compliance withTanglewoodprotocols.

  • Respond promptly to any ticketing discrepancies or patron issues, escalating to management or security personnel when necessary.

  • Follow established emergency protocols and provide support during evacuations,weather relatedemergencies,medical incidents, or other urgent situations.

Operational Efficiency

  • Conduct pre-event equipment checks,related totestingofticket scanners to ensure functionality.

  • Utilize radio communication with other gate attendants and managers

  • Participate in daily briefingswith teamleaderto stay informed of event-specific concerns orinformation.

Information and Assistance

  • Provideaccurateand courteousassistanceto patronsregardingperformance schedules,groundslayout, and other relevant informationas needed

Required Education and Experience

Required Skills and Experience

  • Prior customer service experience in dealing with high volume crowds and an emphasis on resolving issues calmly and effectively.

  • Technicalproficiencywith BSO systems and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues at the gates.

  • Strong communicationskills and the ability to de-escalate conflict diplomatically.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • PhysicalRequirements:

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work in outdoor conditions, including extreme heat or inclement weather.

  • Comfort with lifting and carrying light objects.

  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.

Pay Rate Range:$17.75- $18.10
