Then come and join our global team as Global Mobility Project Consultant & Compliance Expert (f/m/d), for defining and governing cross-border business models and international assignment concepts for project-based workforce deployment at Siemens Healthineers group globally.


Acting as a strategic consultant to the business, the role ensures that cross-border project activities are fully scoped and assessed upfront, in alignment with corporate tax guidance and all other relevant compliance domains. The position provides advisory support to commercial project managers and business stakeholders, covering tax, social security, immigration, and labor law implications, including cost projections, timelines, and risk assessment. The role works in close partnership with Corporate Tax and internal and external compliance stakeholders to enable compliant, scalable, and business-fit cross-border compliance project execution.


Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.


Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.


This position is preferable located either in Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Czech Republic or the United States.


Additionally this position can be in full-time (35h/week) or in part-time (min. 28h/week).


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic cross-border project compliance advisor to business and commercial project teams during the early stages of cross-border workforce planning.
  • Define and structure cross-border project deployment models, including appropriate business models and international assignment concepts, in alignment with Corporate Tax guidance and overall compliance requirements.
  • Lead the upfront scoping of cross-border projects, establishing clear project assumptions, timelines, compliance requirements, and stakeholder responsibilities.
  • Assess cross-border projects holistically across all relevant compliance areas, including Personal Income Tax (PIT), Social Security, Immigration, and Labour Law.
  • Recommend compliant and business-fit assignment structures, considering cost implications, risk exposure, and feasibility of implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Tax and other internal and external compliance stakeholders to enable compliant, scalable, and sustainable project execution.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that communicate performance metrics and key indicators in an accessible, business‑friendly format.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have successfully completed your university degree in Business Administration, Law or other relevant fields.
  • You have many years of experience in international mobility, global employment, corporate tax, or cross-border workforce compliance in an in-house or advisory environment, including commercial project management.
  • You have a deep understanding of international assignment models including short-term and long-term mobility structures and alternative workforce deployment models.
  • You have very solid knowledge of international corporate tax principles, including tax residency rules, double tax treaties, employer payroll and shadow payroll obligations, and hypothetical tax frameworks.
  • You have a strong understanding of international social security systems, including totalization agreements, certificates of coverage, and multi-country social security implications.
  • You have practical knowledge of global immigration systems, including visa categories, work authorization requirements, and mobility-related immigration risks.
  • You are experienced in working with cross-functional stakeholders in a global, matrix organization.

  • You have excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written); additional languages are an advantage
  • You possess very strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to translate complex compliance requirements into clear, business-oriented guidance.
  • You possess confident stakeholder management skills, including the ability to advise and influence senior business and project stakeholders.
  • You have a structured, proactive working style with a strong focus on upfront planning and risk mitigation.
  • You have the ability to balance compliance requirements with business needs in a solution-oriented manner.
  • You are comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
