Healthcare Analytics Specialist

About the position

The Healthcare Analytics Specialist is responsible for analyzing employee health screening data to uncover actionable insights that demonstrate the value of wellness and preventive health programs. This role bridges analytics, client strategy, and business development — supporting the sales team by transforming data into compelling narratives that quantify health and economic impact. The specialist will develop cohort analyses, benchmark trends across customer segments, and contribute to building tools such as ROI modeling to help clients understand the benefits of investing in health screening and wellness initiatives. Pay range: \$63,175.00+ per year Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation. Responsibilities

  • Data Management and Analysis Collect, clean, and standardize employee health screening data (biomarkers, participation, demographics) across multiple employer programs.
  • Develop analytical cohorts (e.g. industry, company size, disease area) to identify patterns and risk trends.
  • Calculate and report health risk prevalence, progression, and improvement metrics (e.g., % moving from high to moderate metabolic risk).
  • Maintain a repository of benchmark data across client segments for use by sales and marketing teams.
  • Insight Generation and ROI Modeling Translate health screening outcomes into economic and productivity insights using evidence-based references.
  • Build and maintain ROI models estimating cost avoidance, productivity gains, and program effectiveness.
  • Design dashboards or visualizations to clearly communicate trends to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support continuous refinement of cohort-level benchmarks and predictive models over time.
  • Business Development Enablement Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop client-specific presentations, dashboards, and ROI reports.
  • Create data-driven narratives showing the value of comprehensive health screening programs.
  • Support pre-sales discussions by preparing client health summaries and opportunity analyses.
  • Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration Contribute to the design and implementation of various department initiatives and tactics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Product, Marketing) to enhance data storytelling and client deliverables.
  • Support or drive pilot projects across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare analytics, wellness program analytics, public health data analysis, or population health reporting.
  • Proven experience analyzing and visualizing screening, biomarker, or health outcomes data.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data findings into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of population health concepts, risk stratification, and preventive screening metrics.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and HIPAA compliance when handling health information.
  • Analytical Tools: Proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and Alteryx.
  • Quantitative Analysis: Strong statistical reasoning and ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
  • Data Visualization: Ability to design visuals and dashboards storytelling at different levels of the organization.
  • Communication: Skilled at simplifying technical analyses into actionable business insights.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively with sales, marketing, and product teams to align analytics to business goals.
  • Project Management: Organized and self-directed, capable of handling multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Data Analytics, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • English (spoken and written)

  • Exposure to ROI modeling or cost-benefit analysis within healthcare or benefits domains.
  • Background collaborating with sales, marketing, or client success teams to enable data-driven business development.
  • Experience with large-scale datasets from laboratory, EHR, or claims data.
  • Proficiency in at least one analytical language (SQL, Python, or R) will be a plus.
  • Master’s degree (MPH, MS in Data Analytics, or MBA with healthcare or quantitative focus).
