This position supports Sound's mission to improve quality and reduce the arenaflex of healthcare by ensuring all contractual arrangements are drafted, reviewed, and executed in a timely, compliant, and business-focused manner. The ideal candidate has significant experience in healthcare contracting and demonstrates exceptional judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Manage the entire contracting and amendment process for hospital clients, vendors, and ACO arrangements, from request intake (via Salesforce or other workflow tools) through execution. • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including: • Client and hospital services agreements • Vendor and consultant agreements • Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) • Nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) • Amendments, letters, and other related legal documents • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in drafting and negotiating contract terms to ensure alignment with business needs and compliance requirements. • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Business Development, and Compliance teams to support strategic initiatives and address contract-related issues. • Ensure all agreements comply with applicable healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute. • Track contract milestones, renewal dates, and deliverables to support ongoing business operations. • Maintain and organize contract files, contract tracking, templates, and clause libraries to improve efficiency and consistency. • Support the General Counsel and broader Legal team with special projects, research, and process improvement initiatives. • Serve as a trusted resource for colleagues across the organization. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • In-depth understanding of healthcare contracting principles, including provider, hospital, and vendor relationships. • Familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, etc.). • Proven ability to draft and negotiate contracts with minimal supervision. • Strong organizational and project management skills with a keen attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams. • Proficiency in arenaflex Office Suite and contract management systems. • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion. Education and Experience • Bachelor's Degree with focus in business administration, healthcare or law or similar experience • Minimum: 5 years of healthcare contracting and business experience in a fast-paced, professional setting • Preferred: 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare contracting, preferably within a physician practice management company, hospital system, or healthcare services organization is preferred Salary Range: • This position offers an annual salary range of $75,000-$105,000. Exact salary will depend on the candidate's experience, education and geographic location.
