Role Description

This role involves working as a Virtual Triage Nurse I for CareBridge, requiring bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates licensed in specific states.

  • Work location is virtual full-time with required in-person training sessions.
  • Work shift is from 11am to 9pm (Central Standard Time).
  • The RN will work eight (8) 10-hour shifts in a two-week period, including every other weekend.
  • Responsible for determining appropriate Care Management programs for members.
  • Utilizes nursing process to meet individual health needs using plan benefits and community resources.
  • Educates members about contracted physicians, facilities, and healthcare providers.
  • Develops working partnerships with members, physicians, and healthcare service providers.
  • Collaborates with medical management and care management associates to identify issues and assign to appropriate care management programs.
  • Facilitates selecting appropriate candidates for referral to CM and/or DM.
  • Documents clinical information, decisions, and determinations accurately and timely.
  • Develops knowledge of member benefits, contracts, medical policy, and current healthcare practices.

Qualifications

  • AS in nursing and minimum of 2 years of acute care clinical experience, or equivalent background.
  • Current, valid, active, and unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s) required.
  • Bilingual Spanish language skills are required.

Requirements

  • Current, active RN Compact license highly preferred.
  • Emergency Room and/or Urgent Care experience highly preferred.
  • Telehealth experience.
  • Experience with EMR systems.
  • BS in nursing preferred.
  • Participation and/or certification in a managed care or utilization management organization preferred.
  • Ability to understand clinical information and prepare concise summaries preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical management and care management processes preferred.
