Come join our TJX familya Fortune 100 company and the world's leading off-price retailer. </p><p>Position: Maintenance Mechanic </p><p>Department: Maintenance Department </p><p>Pay Rate is $19.50 to $24.00 per hour </p><p>Essential Job Functions: </p><ul> <li>Maintains the safe, efficient, and proper operations of a variety of the distribution center equipment and systems. </li><li>Troubleshooting and repair of any/all equipment related to operations and facility maintenance, i.e., conveyor systems, MHE, HVAC systems, air compressors, dock equipment, plumbing fixtures, etc. </li><li>Constructs, installs, repair, and maintains equipment. </li><li>Independently and as directed, completes tests, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. </li><li>Reads and understands basic blueprints. </li><li>Basic understanding of carpentry and mechanics (including hydraulics and pneumatics). </li><li>Completes and maintains maintenance related logs, documentation related to maintenance actions, parts usage, etc. </li><li>Performs light fabrication as needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <h5>Minimum Requirements: </h5><ul> <li>Minimum of three years' experience in a maintenance environment with proven knowledge and proficiency. </li><li>Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and welding. </li><li>Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Familiar with OSHA/NFPA standards. </li><li>Must be able to operate all shop equipment and hand tools. </li><li>Always maintains safe work practices including wearing PPE, using LOTO and following ARC Flash requirements. </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. constantly and up to 75 lbs. as needed. </li><li>Must be comfortable working heights as needed. </li><li>Ability to stand the duration of shift and work in outside climates. </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment. </li><li>Initiative to take on tasks above and beyond their role. </li><li>Familiar with the operation of computers and tablets. </li></ul> <p>Discover Different: TJX Anthem - Discover Different / Dcouvrez Diffrent - Bing video </p><p>Our Differences, make us Stronger: TJX Workplace Inclusion and Diversity </p><p>Associate discount; Employee Assistance Program (EAP); smoking cessation support; bereavement leave; 401(k) Associate contributions; credit union; cell phone discounts.
