Human Resources Assistant / Administrator (Biotechnology | Remote)

Position: HR Assistant / HR Administrator (Temporary) Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized HR Assistant/Administrator to provide hands-on support to an established biotechnology company’s HR team. The primary focus of this role is organizing, digitizing, and maintaining employee files and confidential records, as well as supporting day-to-day HR operational needs. While the team is based in Los Angeles, this role can be performed fully remotely. This is a temporary (40hr/week) opportunity filling in for leave of absence. Contract Details • Type: Temporary / Contract • Location: Remote (company based in Los Angeles) • Hours: Full-time • Urgency: Immediate Key Responsibilities • Organize, digitize, and maintain employee files and confidential personnel records • Manage HR inbox workflows and respond to or forward inquiries as appropriate • Support onboarding processes for new hires, including document collection and system updates • Maintain and update HR systems, spreadsheets, and databases • Assist HR leadership with research, reporting, and special projects • Support internal communications and employee engagement programs • Coordinate meetings, events, and other administrative tasks • Ensure all documentation is handled confidentially and in compliance with company policies • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, inquiries, and invoice tracking • Occasionally manage shipping and office supply needs Qualifications & Skills • Prior experience in HR operations, HR administration, or similar administrative support preferred • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail • Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment • Professional, approachable, and customer-service oriented • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Proficient in arenaflex Office Suite (Excel and Outlook); Concur experience a plus Education & Experience • Associate or Bachelor's degree with relevant administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
