Human Resources Business Partner I

Shure is a leading global manufacturer of audio equipment known for quality, reliability, and durability. As the Human Resources Business Partner I, you will work closely with HR management to implement HR programs and support Shure Associates in delivering the Ultimate Associate Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a point of contact for Associates on HR policies, ensuring interpretations align with both company culture and regional labor nuances
  • Manages requests from multiple stakeholders – often managing urgent priorities simultaneously
  • Assists with the administration of talent and performance initiatives, including the communication of processes, tracking key metrics, and creating reports
  • Supports HR leadership in documenting employee relations matters; assists the team in ensuring compliance with standards across regional offices
  • Partners with the team to design and implement engagement initiatives that resonate with in-person, remote, or hybrid employees (e.g., virtual team-builders or events)
  • Participates in employment functions, including interviewing, recruiting, stay and exit interviews, etc
  • Participates in HR Divisional Projects as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including administrative tasks such as departmental filing, scheduling, and activity coordination, and occasional backup support for administrative functions

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 year of professional HR experience, ideally as an HR Business Partner or Generalist
  • Basic experience with Human Resources Information Systems (e.g.; Oracle, iCIMS, Success Factors)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to leverage company-authorized AI tools to enhance efficiency and creativity
  • Ability to manage a split schedule between multiple physical office locations in close proximity to each other while maintaining a high level of responsiveness
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, from entry-level to leadership
  • High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential Associate information with total professionalism
  • Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks when requests come in from multiple managers simultaneously
  • A global mindset with an interest in learning about international labor standards and diverse workplace cultures
  • Ability and openness to seek, accept, and provide feedback
  • Must have the ability to travel between Shure's Niles, Skokie, and Wheeling locations as scheduled
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws
