They are responsible for identifying and tracking of defects and execution of re-testing them, analyzing quality issues, prioritizing them, and working with development teams to resolve them. This role is crucial for maintaining quality, enhancing customer satisfaction and minimizing risks specific to software testing.<br> <strong>Essential Job Functions</strong><br> <br><strong>Position Responsibilities </strong><br><ul><li>Test Planning and Execution - Understand the solution to make best practice recommendations to the Sponsor on the scope for testing. Develop and execute test plans, test scenarios and test cases where necessary to assess functionality, performance, and usability.</li><li>Defect Identification and Reporting - Identifying, documenting, and reporting software defects and issues, prioritizing them and collaborating with developers to resolve them. Ensure that fixed defects are re-tested, and results are documented. Provide regular reporting of test results and open defects status.</li><li>System Analysis and Review - Reviewing system specifications and design documents to identify potential quality issues</li><li>Regression Testing - Ensuring new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.</li><li>Quality Assurance Audits - Conducting audits to ensure adherence to quality testing standards and procedures. </li><li>Documentation - Maintaining and updating testing documentation, test scripts and quality assurance procedures.</li><li>Collaboration and Communication - working with Developers, Project Managers, Business Subject Matter Experts (SME) and other Stakeholders to ensure quality and lessen impact to testing, throughout the development/execution and testing lifecycle. </li><li>Performance Benchmarking - Ensuring that software meets performance benchmarks and standards when applicable. </li><li>Process Improvement - Suggesting improvements to testing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. </li><li>Compliance - Ensuring that products and services meet regulatory and compliance standards. </li><li>Reports to Deputy Chief of IT Project Management. </li></ul><br> <strong>Qualifications</strong><br> <br><strong>Position Qualifications </strong><br><br><strong>Education (Required)</strong><ul><li>High School graduate or GED equivalent is required for this position </li></ul><strong>Education (Preferred)</strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or related field.
