You will be set objectives and goals by your training provider and line manager to support your studies.A day in the lifeAs an IT Support Apprentice at Amazon, you’ll gain a vast range of useful experiences and skills working with cutting-edge technology to keep our business running smoothly by resolving hardware, software, server and infrastructure issues, for our operations network.You will work towards the Information Communications Technician (Support Technician pathway) apprenticeship Level 3 standardYou will build your skills over an 18-month period starting in September 2025, which will help you develop personally and professionally. Your apprenticeship will be made up of;• Virtual classroom/virtual based training to cover knowledge,• On-the-job training in an Amazon Fulfilment Centre• Online learning• Mentoring from IT team members.Alongside extensive development of your technical skills, you will also grow your abilities in crucial complementary areas like organization, prioritization, data and problem-solving techniques, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.You will work alongside the team supporting with day to day tasks learning how IT works at Amazon and delivers for its customers. As your knowledge and skills increase over the duration of the scheme you will have opportunities to be part of projects and initiatives, making a difference for customers.The on the job experience will help you build a portfolio of evidence towards your apprenticeship. You will be given dedicated time to focus on your studies to help you stay on track and work towards successfully completing your qualifications. Once you have successfully completed you will be able to apply for relevant roles across the business.You will attend a number of workshops across the duration of the apprenticeship, workshops will involve online virtual delivery by a training provider. You may also have opportunity to undertake internal training courses to support you in developing Amazon related skills and knowledge.Modules will include:• Introduction and Core ICT principles• Core Networking Principles• Windows Operating Fundamentals• AWS Cloud Modern Workplace Administration & Advance IT PrinciplesAbout the teamAmazon is the perfect place to start your career in IT. IT Support apprentices can work across a number of teams in Amazon working with managers to help deliver big or small projects successfully. Apprentices support information technology assets, executing a variety of technical standard operating procedures on hardware, operating systems, or enterprise application software typically in a single location or across a group of sites. BASIC QUALIFICATIONSCandidates should be 18 years or over and have the right to live and work in England for the entire duration of the 18-month apprenticeship • For the apprenticeship program we prioritize applicants eligible to government funding for their apprenticeship and for this you need to: - Have you lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years - Be a resident in England for the entire duration of the program - Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2025 or later • You will be 18 years old or older before the contract’s start date (September 2025) • 3 x GCSE’s at grade 4-9 (A-C) or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Amazon is a 24/7 operation, you must have flexibility in working hours and shift patterns to provide cover for operational requirements as this role may include working weekends and/or night shifts.
