IT Support Lead for the Bognor Regis, Chichester & District Samaritans

What will you be doing?

We are looking for someone who can act as the IT Lead for our branch office in Bognor Regis. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of branch equipment, systems and network and provide IT support for the branch and volunteers. This may include training on the use of systems as well as some local trouble shooting, as required.

The role also requires the person to liaise with the Central IT team and represent the branch on IT projects. The post holder will be responsible for keeping the branch volunteers updated of the status of any issues. Also they will be expected to identify and evaluate what other technology can be used in the Branch to improve efficiency and manage information more effectively.

This is single location with a small maintained network, 3 Listening Stations with Chromebooks, an office desktop and peripherals, as well as some AV equipment and laptops. Our branch has a total of 100 volunteers/users,

This role requires the volunteer to come on-site in the Bognor Regis, Sussex location regularly. There will also be home working too - but this not a 100% remote volunteering opportunity. You must be able to visit our Bognor Regis, West Sussex location

What are we looking for?

Experience of a variety of IT tools - both software, hardware, networks and AV. MS office

Leadership skills, good communication skills. Experience working in projects is desirable not essential.

A willingness to take things on and work independently but also be part of team

What difference will you make?

This role will be the first and only IT specialist within the Branch so there is plenty of scope to make an impact. The person, will manage IT issues and equipment at our branch and part remotely.
