Benefits Summary:

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting the basic functions of the Law Admissions office. Key tasks include assisting in the law admissions processes, scheduling campus visits, maintaining admitted students files, answering phone calls and emails, possibly traveling to recruitment fairs as well as helping with orientations and Accepted Students Day.

Scope:

Support the office of Law Admissions by applying expertise in office management through the performance of clerical work and administrative tasks.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Assist in the routine of the admissions process (answering calls and emails)
  • Supports all summer and fall orientation activities and Accepted Students Day
  • Schedule Campus Visits
  • Assist in the admittance packet process (creation of student ID numbers, deposit, etc.)
  • Attend Newcomers Conference (new law admissions workers conference)
  • Assist in Unite processes and the Unite database
  • Manages all Banner processes and student records files
  • Manage credit card reports
  • Possible travel to recruitment fairs as needed


Required Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with a diverse and wide range of people with great tact, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Must project a positive and professional image
  • Ability to work effective in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Must be able to work standard business hours of 8:00am-4:00pm plus occasional weekend and evening as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two to three years of similar office experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of similar office experience
  • Demonstrated ability and working knowledge of BANNER
