Legal Coordinator - Minors, Immigration and Diligence EMEA

Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><span>Netflix is seeking a Coordinator to be part of the Minors, Immigration, and Diligence team (MInD).  MInD advises on and oversees compliance globally for productions and PR/marketing activities with respect to immigration requirements, child labour laws, and diligence processes (background checks on crew working with minors and “contributor/participant care” checks and processes).</span></p><p></p><p><span>The successful candidate will ideally have prior experience in a legal and/or entertainment setting, be  self-motivated, highly-organised, with strong time-management skills,  able to juggle and prioritise multiple diverse responsibilities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.  This is a demanding and fast-paced role that requires curiosity and significant initiative. </span></p><p></p><h2><b><span>Your Responsibilities:</span></b></h2><ul><li><p><span>Providing administrative and research support to lawyers across the MInD legal team in EMEA.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Leading on document management for the team</span></p></li><li><p><span>Creating and maintaining various trackers/spreadsheets in relation to the team’s functions (minors, immigration and diligence)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Organising and maintaining the  team’s knowledge base across the team’s functions including precedents and templates.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Managing vendor invoices, including assisting with new vendor set-up in the legal tracker system and routing invoices to appropriate cost centres.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Preparing legal documents for signature and the coordination of signatures (e.g. immigration petitions, deal memos etc).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Supporting the MInD team with legal research regarding immigration and child labour requirements globally.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Preliminary review of background checks and psychological evaluations for show participants and crew.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Leveraging new technology, including artificial intelligence, to optimize the team’s organization and performance. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintaining flexibility and openness to take on additional projects as necessary or assigned.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><h2><b><span>To be successful:</span></b></h2><ul><li><p><span>3 + years work experience, preferably (but not essential) in a legal field (especially those with a focus in immigration and/or entertainment) or at a studio, network, broadcaster or production company.  </span></p></li><li><p><span>You are a team player with excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You are resourceful and proactive with a can-do attitude and continually strive for organizational efficiency through innovation. </span></p></li><li><p><span>You respond positively to change and are respectful of new ideas.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You have a proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You pay strong attention to detail and work well with changing information.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Your communication is effective and concise, supported by strong interpersonal skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You exercise great judgement and can articulate sound reasoning for your decisions.</span></p></li></ul><p><span>You understand, advocate, and embody the Netflix culture and team goals: </span><a href="https://jobs.netflix.com/culture" target="_blank"><u>https://jobs.netflix.com/culture</u></a></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><a href="https://about.netflix.com/en/inclusion" target="_blank"><u>Inclusion</u></a><span> is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates.
