Leicestershire & Rutland FA - Commercial Director

The Leicestershire & Rutland County FA is recruiting an Independent Non-Executive Commercial Director to support the development of new commercial partnerships and maximise sponsorship opportunities across the local game.

Salary: Voluntary position, travel and reasonable expenses paid
Contract: Three-year term, eligible for reappointment up to a maximum of nine years

This voluntary Board-level role will play a key part in strengthening the Association's commercial growth and long-term sustainability. Working closely with the Head of Commercial and Marketing, the CEO and the wider Board, the appointed individual will help shape and deliver the LRCFA Commercial and Marketing Strategy.

About the Role
As an Independent Non-Executive Commercial Director, the post holder will:

  • Support the development and delivery of the LRCFA Commercial and Marketing Strategy
  • Maximise commercial and sponsorship opportunities for the benefit of the Association
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Develop and nurture relationships that convert prospects into long term partnerships
  • Contribute strategically at Board level, helping to shape vision, policy and financial sustainability

The successful appointee will attend up to six Board meetings per year and play an active role in overseeing strategy, governance, risk and financial performance, ensuring the continued success of the Association.

Board-level experience and knowledge of not-for-profit organisations would be desirable.
