Loan Processor – (Remote)

This is a remote position. We are currently unable to consider candidates located in the following states: California, Oregon, Pennsylvania, New York, Illinois, and Washington or Outside the United States. The hours are Monday through Friday 9am-6pm MST and includes one Saturday a month from 8-1 MST.

SUMMARY

The Loan Processor is responsible for the overall processing of loans, including general support for business development staff members, loan booking preparations, and loan document preparations. In addition, this position gathers the necessary information to process and complete loan files and examines documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company underwriting guidelines. The role of a Loan Processor does come with progression. Loan Processors are evaluated on daily/monthly metrics to determine if they are eligible to move tiers thus increasing their daily production. Tier movement leads to further potential for advancement in the Fulfillment Department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and demonstrate the principles of AUTOPAY’s Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Performs clerical and administrative support activities related to obtaining auto loans for borrowers
  • Prepares papers and assembles supporting loan documents to obtain loans for borrowers
  • Forwards applications for loans via the online portal, and other related documents to management for approval when required
  • Receives approval of company and orders preliminary title reports showing financial transactions, conditions, and restrictions upon which vehicle sale are based
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and have a high school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of one (1) year of related experience in a consumer loan environment preferred, 2 years of loan processing and 1 year of LOS experience. Knowledge of auto loan concepts, practices and procedures is a plus! Must be able to perform a variety of time-sensitive tasks requiring attention to detail.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
  • Experience: The ideal candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and have a high school diploma or equivalent required. Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities. Strong attention to detail with ability to cross check material for completeness and accuracy
  • Analytical: Detail‑oriented with the ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently. Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Technical: Comfort with Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel ability
  • Other: High level of personal motivation, professionalism, and integrity required. Ability to exercise discretion and judgment
