Manager, Business Insights (Credit Card & Personal Lending)

The Consumer Lending Strategy & Business Analytics team at Citizens is seeking a Manager, Business Insights to lead analytics for Unsecured Lending (Credit Card and Personal Loans). This role partners directly with business lines and product teams, managing a team of analysts to deliver actionable insights that drive business impact. The Manager will set analytic standards, mentor staff, and ensure solutions are audit-ready and aligned with regulatory expectations. The position emphasizes leadership, data-driven thinking, business partnership, and technical expertise, with a focus on credit card experience.

Location and Work Arrangement
Candidates must be based in or willing to commute to a Citizens hub 4 days on-site and 1 day remote: Columbus OH, Johnston RI, Westwood MA, Boston MA, Pittsburgh PA, Phoenix AZ, or Iselin NJ.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead analytics and insights for Credit Card and Personal Loans, partnering directly with business and product teams
• Manage and mentor a team of 4+ analysts, fostering development and high performance
• Conduct analysis and answer critical business questions around sales performance, customer behavior trends, and portfolio analytics
• Set analytic methodology and standards for business impact, focusing on enablement and clarity
• Design and oversee testing frameworks (A/B, quasi-experiments) and ensure statistical rigor
• Build and maintain governed analytics assets (semantic models, curated tables, Python/SQL libraries)
• Manage delivery of executive-ready dashboards and narratives; standardize metrics and drive adoption
• Ensure audit readiness and compliance with OCC, CFPB, and FDIC standards
• Collaborate with Compliance, Audit, and Model Risk partners
• Drive cross-functional projects to expand analytics capabilities

Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of loan-level economics, price optimization, and return-optimized marketing strategies
• Experience managing users of SQL and Python for analytics and data engineering
• Experience managing users of Power BI, Tableau, and Azure data platforms
• Strong understanding of data quality, controls, and regulatory documentation
• Knowledge of experimentation and causal inference methods

Ideal Candidate
• 7+ years in analytics, risk, consulting, or lending (credit card experience strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
• Strong communication and business partnership skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

Hours and Work Schedule
• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Pay Transparency

  • The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
