City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: The Manager, MyChart & Patient Experience provides strategic and operational leadership for the delivery, optimization, and ongoing support of Sentara’s Epic MyChart and Patient Experience applications. This role oversees day-to-day operations, manages a high-performing analyst team, ensures operational readiness, and drives successful testing and release cycles. The manager partners closely with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to ensure digital capabilities enhance patient access, communication, and workflow efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate brings deep Epic expertise, strong team leadership experience, and a commitment to advancing safe, reliable, and patient-centered digital experiences. Key Responsibilities • Lead daily operations for Epic MyChart and Patient Experience modules, including MyChart Bedside, Welcome, On My Way, Care Companion, and Hello World • Oversee issue resolution, workflow optimization, testing cycles, and release management • Manage and develop a team of analysts through coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback • Support intake, prioritization, resource allocation, and backlog management • Partner with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to ensure safe, effective, and value-driven deployments • Communicate project status, risks, and requirements to leadership and stakeholders in a clear, structured manner • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning for digital patient experience platforms • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance usability, efficiency, and patient adoption of MyChart capabilities Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s Degree preferred Certification Preferred Epic Certifications • MyChart • Welcome • Care Companion • Hello World (Digital Patient Experience) Experience • Hands-on expertise with Epic MyChart and related Patient Experience tools • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and Epic configuration principles • Experience leading technical teams or analysts in a healthcare IT environment • Demonstrated experience with release management, testing cycles, and operational readiness • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in clinical and operational settings Skills & Competencies • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills • Leadership abilities with experience coaching and developing team members • Ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences • Awareness of budgeting principles, forecasting, and arenaflex considerations • Experience supporting project management activities or coordinating multiple workstreams • High emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and ability to navigate competing priorities Preferred Skills • Experience with project intake, prioritization, and performance tracking • Ability to develop dashboards or analytical reports to measure performance and progress • Background supporting digital health, patient access, or consumer experience programs keywords: MyChart, Epic MyChart, Epic Patient Experience, Welcome, On My Way, Care Companion, MyChart Bedside, Hello World, Epic Analyst Manager, Epic Application Manager, Digital Patient Experience, Healthcare IT, Clinical Workflows, Epic Optimization, EHR, Release Management.
