Material Handler- 3rd Shift

<p><b>Immediately Hiring!</b></p><p></p><p><b>Location is Lima, OH Distribution Center, Fort Shawnee Industrial Drive.</b></p><p></p><p><b>Starting Pay is $19/hr, $1.50 shift differential for 3rd shift.</b></p><p></p><p><b>3rd Shift Hours 10:00 pm – 6:30am, Sunday - Thursday</b></p><p><b>Some Overtime available depending on business needs.</b></p><p></p><p>As a <b>Material Handler</b> you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!</p><p></p><p><b>Primary Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Unload incoming trailers from plant or suppliers of finished goods using hand or electric powered equipment.</p></li><li><p>Check incoming shipments and place material in proper storage bin locations while maintaining proper stock rotation of materials.</p></li><li><p>Process all types of orders (pallet, small package, etc.,.) efficiently and without error.</p></li><li><p>Use computers, RF scanners and power equipment as well as following distribution best practices regarding efficient workflow/processing.</p></li><li><p>Prepare shipping documents for all outgoing shipments ensuring all required inputs are entered into the Oracle Warehouse Management Software.</p></li><li><p>Understand and adhere to all applicable DOT, OSHA, EPA, EEO, ISO, and other PPG policies and regulations.</p></li><li><p>Participate in inventory, cycle counting, and audits as required. Ensure times replenishment and identification of potential material shortages.</p></li><li><p>Participate in safety meetings, safety observations, and all other required meetings.</p></li><li><p>Perform minor maintenance as required on warehouse equipment including the electric/manual pallet jack, forklift and other special equipment related to the distribution center.</p></li><li><p>Assists the Distribution Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor in the performance of selected duties or special projects as required.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>One to Two years warehouse/manufacturing experience.</p></li><li><p>Need to have basic reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills to process orders and complete paperwork.</p></li><li><p>Previous experience in paint and or/hazardous materials is a plus.</p></li><li><p>Good interpersonal skills, detail oriented, basic computer and organizational skills.</p></li><li><p>Repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and stand on feet for extended period of time.</p></li><li><p>Previous fork-truck and hand-jack experience beneficial.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work holidays and overtime as needed.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>About Us:</b></p><p>Here at PPG we make it happen, and we are looking for candidates of the highest integrity who share our values, with the commitment to strive today to do better than yesterday – everyday.
