Skills

  • Ability to operate equipment such as baler, front-end loader, bobcat, candensifier, or forklift.
  • Basic knowledge of material handling and sorting.
  • Strong attention to safety and quality.
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sorts and grades material.
  • Fills and operates candensifier.
  • Records materials received or distributed and marks materials with identifying information.
  • Maintains inventory records and coordinates flow of material.
  • Starts baler on time and monitors its functions.
  • Performs routine maintenance and daily inspection on equipment.
  • Keeps surrounding work areas clean and organized.
  • Inspects and grades wastepaper received at the plant.
  • Completes necessary load and unload tally sheets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum six (6) months of previous work experience operating a forklift.
  • Forklift Certification is a plus but not required.
