Multi-Skilled Technician

<p>You’ll join our Production team, playing a key role in building, wiring and assembling advanced laser and robotic systems used by leading manufacturers worldwide. This is a hands-on, practical role where you’ll contribute directly to the build of industrial equipment that enables life-changing products.</p><p><br></p><p>Your work will support the safe, reliable and high-quality delivery of Laser Wire Solutions’ systems, ensuring customer specifications are met and projects are delivered on schedule.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Typical tasks include:</strong></p><ul><li>Building mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and piece parts to agreed build schedules.</li><li>Assembling and wiring electrical control panels for industrial applications.</li><li>Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols independently.</li><li>Supporting machine builds from mechanical construction through to final integration.</li><li>Assisting with fault finding and troubleshooting during build and test phases.</li><li>Using essential software tools such as Excel and Factory Master for job tracking and documentation.</li><li>Working closely with Engineering, Production and other teams to improve build quality, efficiency and design robustness.</li><li>Some potential opportunities to work within Project group on Customisation projects and also within the Medical device section supporting Production runs.</li><li>Maintaining a safe, organised and well-presented working environment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></p><ul><li>NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering or technical discipline.</li><li>A practical, hands-on individual who takes pride in building things properly.</li><li>A solid understanding of production environments and workshop processes.</li><li>Ability to read technical drawings and follow structured build instructions.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.</li><li>Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.</li><li>Positive, reliable and proactive in approach.</li><li>Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge of laser and automation systems.</li><li>Strong communication skills (verbal and written).</li><li>Able to thrive in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.</li><li>Behaviours aligned with the Laser Wire Solutions Charter: Leadership, Authenticity, Speed, Efficiency and Responsibility.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Get:</strong></p><ul><li>Full training on our products, systems and processes.</li><li>A clear development pathway within a fast-growing, high-technology business.</li><li>The opportunity to work on advanced laser and robotic systems used in medical, EV and high-tech industries.</li><li>A collaborative, people-centric culture that encourages growth and innovation.</li><li>Pension, life insurance and standard company benefits.</li><li>37-hour full-time role with flexible working arrangements within business needs.
