Functions in a nursing work and clinical skills mentoring capacity to medical assistant staff.<br><br><strong>Primary Duties And Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.</li><li>Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications vaccines treatments and procedures in accordance with nursing standards. Observes records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medication as directed. Ensures that nursing documentation is complete accurate and legible. Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs and teaches patients in the collection of samples and tests. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment examination and testing of patients.</li><li>Develops weekly schedules and makes daily assignments. Serves as the point of contact for all clinic personnel changing shifts or calling in regarding attendance matters.</li><li>Participates with the Administrator I in quality and process improvement initiatives and assists in maintaining fiscal objectives.
